It's a number of gezegde

 It's a number of things - just personal things that I felt I needed to take care of and I couldn't put enough time into both.

 We needed a burst. Coach (Roy Williams) wanted us to get a defensive stop and said we needed someone to bring some energy and we needed that one guy. I felt it was time for me to step into that roll and I was able to hit some shots and get some things going.

 It was really needed. We just couldn't go on in our district the way things were going. To me, [coaching] is important, but there are so many things at stake. We couldn't exist with 38 to 40 kids in an English class. It would have really been devastating.

 I was disappointed with the way things went in Bangladesh and I felt I needed to work on a number of aspects of my game.

 It's time for me to go on to Act III, ... Act III is personal growth and getting back to the things I care about.

 My list of things I needed to work on is a lot shorter than it was last year at the same time. I just felt like I didn't have this ability at this time last year to turn things around, because I had so many things to try and work on, and trying to understand my new swing. But after another year of experience with it, I had that ability.

 I think some of our guys hit a little bit of a wall here. We talked a lot about that ... This is a heavy time to play basketball. You've really got to take care of yourself. I had a couple of guys fighting through things out there, under-the-weather type of things. They just couldn't get themselves going.

 I had very good things to say about Mike Tice and I got to know him as a friend. He taught me a lot about coaching. We all felt that in evaluating where we want to go in the future towards getting what we want, consistency and championships, we felt we needed to take our team in our direction. We felt we needed to make a change.

 I'm a very shy person. My daughter and I don't do a lot of interviews, but we felt there was a whole new generation of people who were discovering Elvis and his music. There are many books and stories that have been written about him, but there are still so many questions that needed to be answered, so we figured it was time to tell our story. We are sharing some very intimate and personal things, but I really wanted to show the definitive Elvis, warts and all.

 This is probably the best we've hit the ball all year. We had a few weeks off, so I think that gave them some time to rest up and take care of some personal things.

 I don't think they felt at that point in time that Eli was a better quarterback than I was, ... Maybe they did. It was never shown to me. I'm not trying to knock Eli by that. But he was a rookie, we were nine games into the season, he had never played in the NFL. I don't believe they felt he was going to do the things I couldn't do. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. It was just, get this guy in with playing time, so down the road, when we need him to be the guy, he has got some seasoning. He got better game in and game out.

 Obviously, during the lockout year I had time to think about things. I felt I really didn't have anything to prove. I'd won three Stanley Cups. Life's too short, and I felt it was time to do some of the things I really want to do.

 Did I feel we needed it? No more than normal, that part of it. Did I want it? Yes. All the things that were talked about and any number of things this season, I joked about it, but it was true. I'm human just like anyone else.

 We needed a win. The defense stepped up big and that felt good. It felt like we didn't let one slip away this time. We finished it. No matter how bad things were, we finished the win. So, let's improve from there. Let's go from there.

 That personal decision should always be second. Knowing you have a few other things to accomplish before making that personal decision, means that you should put that personal decision aside and take care of the task right in front of you.
