 I can't blame the effort tonight. We played hard and probably deserved a better fate. We're on the road. We did some good things, and they capitalized on some mistakes, and that cost us tremendous effort.

 To win a hockey game on something like that, that's a real tough break. I thought we had a terrific effort tonight and we deserved a little bit better fate.

 We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

 The score doesn't resemble our effort. I'm proud of our effort. In similar situations this year we've laid down and let them kick us. Tonight we didn't do that. We played together, and I feel with our effort tonight we could do well.

 We played hard all night. I thought we did some very good things on the fly against a talented team tonight. I am happy with the overall effort that we gave.

 We're very proud of the effort of our players. The effort was there. It was the little things here and there that made us a loser. We're just not sharp enough right now to beat a good team. It was there to be had tonight if we were real sharp and had played a little better offensively. Holding them to 17 points should be good enough to win a conference game.

 I thought it was a better, disciplined effort, all around. I thought we deserved a better fate tonight. We're obviously facing some adversity here [due to injuries], but I was encouraged by a lot of what I saw.

 Lehigh is the best team we'll have played. They're one play away from being undefeated [they lost in OT to Delaware]. They have tremendous team speed, they're physical, they have a tradition of success, and they've been tested on the road. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. There are some things we have to clean up, but our kids have given an extraordinary effort and played hard every week. O'Hagan has done a super job for a young kid. He's far from perfect but he's made the plays in crunch time.

 We played hard tonight, I thought we had a good effort. We had penalty trouble once again, some deserved and some not. You get into two 5-on-3 (power plays) for that amount of time, that's tough -- they're bound to get a score. It was almost 19 minutes of power-play time for them.

 This is our fourth game in six nights on the road. It's not easy. The effort was there for most of our play. Sometimes you can't always blame the goalie. It's the mental mistakes that causes goals.

 I told the guys a little while ago that I hope we learned a lesson tonight. That's the kind of effort we're going to get from our opponent every night in the state playoffs, and we've got to be ready to match it and exceed it. To be quite honest, South Central deserved this win tonight. They out-hustled us. When you work that hard, things go your way. They made a play, and my hat's off to them.

 I thought it was a real team effort tonight. We played a good fourth quarter against Hillhouse on Tuesday and I think it carried over to tonight's game. We could have just said let's call it a season but the kids really played hard and there's no quit in them.

 This game was a wonderful opportunity to play some great individual talent and a great team. We did some good things tonight but we also made some mistakes. Good teams will make you pay for those mistakes and North Carolina did. Overall I'm very pleased with the effort. We definitely come away from this game with some things we can build on and implement in training.

 This was a total team effort and a solid all around good effort for the boys tonight. We played well offensively and defensively.

 We played well and stayed within ourselves. We played the way we did during the three-game winning streak. We gutted it out, we continued to play hard, we rotated on defense and we did the things that we are capable of doing. I'm a lot happier with our effort tonight, and it just leads for better things to come after this All-Star break.
