 We are in a flood zone where we are now, and we have 16 work stations - during our briefings we have about 100 people in here. We definitely don't have room. It's outdated.

 There are a lot of people who would build there if they'd change the flood zone. There are a lot of houses over there that could be renovated, but the banks are reluctant to lend money because of the flood plain.

 The AO zone is one of the highest rated. AE is lower, so people in the flood zone will still get some relief.

 Our concern is it's already a flood zone, so why would FEMA want to pay the owner of the trailer park so much money a month to house people in a zone that could be flooded again?

 We will work with newspapers, radio stations, TV stations, the Internet and mobile telephone carriers to teach people the right way to spit.

 Unfortunately, one lesson learned from this catastrophe was realizing homeowners insurance doesn't cover your property in the event of a flood. You must have flood insurance. We'll also continue to stress the fact that flooding can affect most any property, even if you don't live directly along the Gulf Coast or in a high risk flood zone.
