 I met with the team today. I think they've got a pretty good core of players, but they're missing an inside presence that can play with her back to the basket. All of the components are there, but that's going to be the first need we try to fill.

 Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.

 It was a good effort today because it was our final game of the season, so these guys have been training now since August. I think we are all happy that the season is over, but it was good fun today. Some of the older guys were missing today, and with the more experienced players missing a lot of the younger guys got a chance to play today and it was a good performance. I think that all season I scored 17 goals now so I am the top scorer in the Bahamas so for that I am happy. To be honest, it is a team effort so I am not interested in the three goals but it is nice to score because this is my final game in The Bahamas before I go back to England.

 Great players make coaches look good. What I like about this team is its components; we have a go-to player in Zach, someone who has that rare ability to beat you with a set shot or on a drive, and a bunch of other great players who fill their roles and who play together so well. Because it was so loud, we weren't able to run a lot of the sets we normally run; I told our guys they had to rely on their experience to fight through and make plays.

 She's a very strong inside presence. She rebounds well and scores very well down low. She has a number of back-to-the-basket moves that are really nice. Defensively, she shuts down the other team's big girls.

 Jon pitched a very good game, but there were two innings when we gave them five outs. We're a pretty young team, and we were missing a couple of players today, but that's no excuse for mental errors. We have to improve in that area, and it's my job to see that we do.

 He's a senior with a lot of experience, he gives us a physical presence and he's a real good skater. And all of that was missing in his first four or five games before he came to me and told me, 'I can't play, I don't know what's going on with me, I can't play.'  In a three-game tournament, you can't rely on your outside game. You've got to have good players inside and you have to be able to stop people. We have the most depth and the best inside presence of any team left in the tournament.

 I don't think it's any easier at all. It's hard no matter who you play. Edison is good. They [have] a great inside presence and strong role players.

 The best player is the point guard. He can shoot the 3 and can beat people off the dribble. Inside, the big kid does a very good job around the basket. And, they have a couple of other kids that look like pretty good athletes. They aren't real deep, but those six or seven kids are solid players.

 Let's face it, both of those guys inside are good players. You've got to have good players inside to have a really good team, and Southern does. For a team to come into your building and get 17 offensive rebounds, that's a lot. That's unacceptable.

 Both of us have perimeter players who are quick and athletic. We both like to attack the basket with our guards. We both have good post players and a good 3-point guy. I think the advantage we have is our depth inside.

 Obviously, being a league opponent, that's great for the Northeast-10. They're a well-coached team that's talented inside and out. They get good guard play and they've got very good post players. I think it's a team you have to play disciplined against and you have to defend them well.
