The school has really gezegde

 The school has really shown its support. The students came out and supported us and helped us win. It was good that we (boys and girls) could both bring it back.

 She was a super teacher, ... She was so crippled with arthritis that when the students went to the playground, she couldn't go with us, but when we came back in she knew who had misbehaved, who had been fighting. There were lots of teenage boys still at Miller because they were from farming families and had to miss so much school, but those big boys never gave her any trouble. When she sent them to bring her a switch, they knew they'd better not bring her a little one.

 We have a great group. We try to make everyone feel that they are part of the team. I think that is what keeps so many coming back. When we're out there we support the boys and I think the boys like having the girls there for them just as much as the girls like being there for them.

 Girls and boys are fundamentally different animals, they learn in different ways, and we are not dealing with those differences, ... We tend to treat all children equally. Girls on the whole look like good students, while boys are not engaged in learning.

 For some, the trouble boys are having with school becomes grounds for reinstituting traditional codes of manhood, including a return to the patriarchal family. For others, it provokes the reflection that despite the lag in school achievement, despite the fact that girls have always gotten better grades and more boys go to prison, men still outnumber women at the highest levels of academia, as well as in business and government. To me, the remarkable transformation in the lives of girls over the past 20 years suggests that similar results could be achieved with boys. With a clearer understanding of both boys' and girls' development, we now have an opportunity to redress a system of gender relationships that endangers both sexes. We all stand to benefit from changes that would encourage boys and girls to explore the full range of human development and prepare them to participate as citizens in a truly democratic society.

 The fans, they're tremendous. They've supported us wherever we go. Whether it's the girls or the boys, they're here to back us. We're real proud of them.

 Middle school is a tough age, ... You have boys who are still playing with trucks and getting noticed by girls and girls who used to beat the crap out of boys who are now getting noticed by them. Out here, they're friends who laugh and tease each other and horse around. This is a good group of highly motivated kids.

 That's hard for us to believe isn't it? ... Heck, most of you after summer dread going back to school -- not all of you, some of you. But there are boys and girls, girls in Afghanistan who dream about getting to go at all.

 On Saturday, our day starts early and ends late. Then we go to a high school game. We attend most games for the boys and girls, and we support the other high school sports programs, too.

 Just giving them that adult that they know they can come to for support...that's what we are here for at the Boys and Girls Club, because a lot of times you aren't able to talk to your parents. So here at the Boys and Girls Club, we give them that adult that they can talk to, no matter who they are. Mr. Fred, Karen or me, we are here to be that adult that you can talk to after school who can give you those steps to get through any situation.

Rather than make sure boys get more attention in writing, or girls in math, we typically look at a group of students who needs more help in writing -- whether it's boys or girls.  Eventually we got the teachers to support us. I guess they were antsy because they were new to the school and they were dealing with all these teenage students. When they started learning exactly what we were doing and we showed them examples from the previous years, they supported us.

 I really feel once they try it, they'll do it a lot more. We've done both, and we supported the local leagues. It is a good program, and it's good for local boys to play together. But I also support tournament ball. It's a good experience, and it's the next level.

 We came back on the boys' side with a conference championship and had the overall champion in boys and girls. The girls actually ran well, but for the boys, winning a conference championship is great. The kids really wanted it. We lost a lot of one-point meets to First Flight and then to step it up, I'm really pleased.

 I think ultimate really is the perfect sport for high school. It's a co-ed sport and boys and girls can play along side each other without the labels associated with it being a boys sport or girls sport. Both sexes are on the field at the same time. I can't think of a better way to teach sportsmanship.
