 A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. He's done enough this time in and will be spelled until the end of January and brought back for the jumping season next year.

 I think the Jenks game pretty much brought them back down to reality. I think they felt, coming off state, unbeatable, that they're good.  If somebody had said at the beginning of the year, or in December or January or February, that this team would go to the Elite Eight, I would have jumped for joy. But right at this second, I can't tell you that I'm jumping for joy.

 In basketball season, I was always jumping high and knew I was good at jumping, so I tried it (the high jump) for the first time. I got into it, learned my technique, and ended up winning state.

 It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it. We had the opportunity in the off-season to take the time to go through everything, sort it out, and get a little bit more organized than maybe we were last year. Last season we had to put everything together in such a hurry. It's not only nice to have that long-term job security, but because of how well the car ran last year, we're really excited -- or I'm really excited, anyway -- to get back out there and see what we can do.

 It spelled out the truth, and lots of times people don't want to look at that. At first, I thought, 'Wow! This guy's trying to come off as arrogant. He made it, and he's saying that not one of them will get that far.' They all dream of playing Division I college sports, but that bubble might have been burst. It brought things back to reality.

 Eastern has been struggling a bit. It's tough to maintain that magic they had in January. If they had played the region tournament in January, they would have won it. They had a great season, but we got them at the right time.

 In January, he put this team on his back and saved the season when we had every excuse and every reason to give into the schedule, to give into the situations. Surviving January was an incredible statement by Carmelo.

 We picked a good night to play our best game of the season. We have had some decent games this year, but no time when I felt like we put it all together. Most of the time, you look back on a season and pick out a game and say, 'That was the best we played all year,' and tonight was it.

 Knoxville brought a tough team to town last night and we wrestled the best we could under the circumstances. There were some very high points for us and we made some big strides in a few weight classes. A few of our boys still need to learn better position and mat sense, but that comes with time. Time is running short for this year, but I believe we are seeing things at this stage of the season that were not here last year.

 With Oregon weather unpredictable this time of year, and the fact that it will take some time to line up contractors, it's better to wait until 2006 to begin the remodeling, ... We're also going to wait on the interior work until January so that tenants can get through the busy holiday season.

 We were just discussing in the locker room that now is not the time in the season to be giving up points. That was back in December and January. We talked about playing with confidence. I reminded them that they were the defending region champs.

 All I really wanted to do when I came here was to get back to the way I used to be. I'm getting there. I'm still not able to do what I used to do, my knee keeps getting better and my jumping ability has gotten a whole lot better over the season.

 Some people say it's the beginning of the social season, whatever that means. It has normally been scheduled around the end of January/Valentine's day, so people do mark it on their calendars around this time of year.

 It was hard to do two meets back-to-back especially coming off the worlds where there was so excitement. But still I did a decent swim tonight. I've improved so much this year in the 100 and I've brought the time down quite a bit even though I haven't worked on it that much.
