We know what we need to do to in order to make this system one that people are going to be able to feel safe and secure when they get it.

 There's been a lot said about Social Security reform. What has been left out of the debate is the double tax on Social Security benefits. I believe it's time to get rid of a tax that punishes seniors and discourages work and retirement savings.

 The president's finally caught up to us on that, ... We want to save every dime for Social Security -- we're going to need it to create individual retirement accounts and keep Social Security from melting down. So that's a good proposal.

 The great majority of people I talk to under 50 do not believe Social Security will be there to add any value to their retirement lifestyle. They think it could be a Band-Aid to help with future retirement costs but not something of sustaining value to their portfolio.

 This is a celebration not just of passage of act but everything Social Security has done for past 70 years, ... Social Security is one of the hallmark programs of the New Deal era and I think it's important to remind people of the great structural reforms that took place during the Roosevelt era.

 We are going to continue working on all the aspects that we think are quality: That means backwards compatibility, performance--security is a big thing. As you know, safety and security have been a driving factor in this release all along ... We know what we need to do in order to make this system one that people are going to be able to feel safe and secure with when they get it.

 For every security provision we put in place, there's a civil right done away with, ... There's a limit to how much security people want. Many people feel violated after they've been through check-in at the airport.
