 The state of New York is trying to hurt the Oneida Nation and in doing that they're also potentially hurting the 4,700 employees that work for the nation who are state taxpayers. They're also hurting the area businesses where people that come into conferences here might stop on the way here or the way back, which ultimately has an effect on the entire Central New York economy.

 CBGB, it's a great New York City institution -- it's more than just another club, ... We are trying to bring both sides together. ... It's part of our culture. They bring a lot of business here. I don't think they belong any place else other than New York City.

 Its passage would lead to a better business model for New York racing, and thus strengthen the upcoming bids for the current NYRA franchise. Most importantly of all, this legislation would increase purses, improve breeding farm economics, and help assure the future viability of the industry in New York.

 This is a tremendous economic value for New York City, but it's also an incredibly valuable symbolic message and media message that New York City is open for business.

You could fill Yankee Stadium more than seven times with these children. Such numbers should be a wakeup call for government leaders, business executives and average residents alike.

 We are stewards of the taxpayers' money. And I think we owe it to the taxpayers to explain why we're spending as much per student as New York State.

 There's no radio station in New York City where you can hear Sinatra sing 'New York, New York.' On XM you can.

 As the unsung heroes of New York City, security officers should be rewarded, not penalized for keeping our buildings secure, our neighborhoods protected and everyone safe. As one of the signature landmarks in New York City, the Empire State Building should be a leader in setting standards for the private security industry.
