 It's hard to know what to feel. As a kid you dream about Olympics, Olympics, your whole life. Now that we've actually won an Olympic gold medal it's hard to put it into words.

 To be honest, it's really hard to sum up in words how excited and proud I am to be asked to coach this team. We'll have one goal when the Olympics roll around in February and that's to win the gold medal. We have a legitimate chance.

 For me, having a medal from the Olympics is great. If I never play again for the Czech team, I have a medal from the World Championship (gold last year) and now the Olympics.

 I was telling my mother that this isn't the Olympic dream I planned. We're just trying to get to the Olympics, and if we get to the Olympics then maybe we'll know how to pay for it.

 She put me under her wing when I came onto the team. I met her when I was nine years old, and she gave me the motivation and kind of the goal to be in the Olympics and win an Olympic gold medal.

 We set up a goal for this year to try to achieve a gold medal. It's hard when you do all five disciplines. We set up a totally different training schedule so that I would peak at the Olympics.

 An Olympic medal is the greatest achievement and honour that can be received by an athlete. I would swap any World Title to have won gold at the Olympics.

 It was an absolutely unbelievable day today. The Olympics and medaling at the Olympics has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, and I worked so hard to get where I am and it's an unbelievable feeling.

 The medal is the icing on the cake. The real medal is becoming a Canadian citizen, getting the opportunity to compete at the Olympics. That's the gold medal.

 It was a dream of hers, just like it was a dream of mine, for me to make the Olympics and potentially medal. I carry a picture of her all the time. She'll be on the medal stand with me, if we get up there.

 When I went with the U.S. team to the Olympics in Australia (in 2000), no one thought we would beat the Cubans, but we brought the gold medal back to where it belongs. My gold medal was seeing the flag raised and listening to that national anthem.

 There are many athletes out there who would covet an X Games gold over an Olympic gold. I've heard it come from athletes mouths - and I'm sure their agents are standing next to them smirking - but when you win an X Games medal, you are instantly afforded a reputation that perhaps you aren't afforded in the Olympics.

 It's hard for the girls here and everybody has worked so hard to earn a spot on the team. But it's the U.S. Olympic Committee's job to pick the three skaters who have the best chance at the Olympics.

 Elation. Really, it's one of those dreams come true. You commit your life to this sport. Just to go to the Olympics is an incredible experience. To come away with a gold medal is even more exciting.
