 It's a full day of entertainment for the people, a way to keep the Bowie Festival alive.

 The main reason for the festival has little to do with marijuana itself. It's more about offering an awesome festival for students. It's part entertainment, but it's also about social justice. You may not know it's about marijuana unless you see some of the propaganda around at the booths.

 This is a family-oriented festival. We have a petting zoo, a pedal power tractor pull and entertainment geared at children. This year we have a magician and a juggler scheduled. Of course, the covered bridges in their beautiful fall foliage settings are the highlights of the festival.

 For instance, we still do not include any of the spending by Sundance Institute to put on the festival, which comes to about $7 million annually. Not all of that is spent in Utah, but a significant portion is. We also don't include air fares and what's spent by film industry companies on high-end entertainment at the festival.

 We're trying to build an event that obviously has the entertainment, but also build an outdoor festival flair where there's lots of things for people to do. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness.

 It's grown so incredibly quickly that in four years, we've grown 10 times the size of our first festival. People have really embraced this festival. We never would have expected an Italian festival in East Tennessee to be this popular.

 We're usually good at bouncing back from a sub-par game. Facing Carroll's press will help prepare us for Bowie. Bowie's very similar to Carroll, but they have more athletes.

 [And it's anybody's guess what the winners will say. When David Bowie announced Aretha Franklin's Grammy win, she told the audience,] Wow, this is so good I could kiss David Bowie. ... I want to thank God for giving me the voice to do the song.

 Each is a shared memory for people of different ages, ... It's fashionable -- almost compulsory at the TV festival -- to knock the number of repeats on TV and blame the laziness of broadcasters. But I believe there is a real public service in keeping these memories alive.

 The festival also shows that our novelists can be on par with other authors in the world. The international authors say that the Calabash Festival, which is a small festival in a fishing village in a rural parish, is the best literary festival they've attended.

 Every year, [the festival] has improved dramatically, ... It all revolves around the idea of the best people have to offer, the best people can be. That spirit -- as corny as it sounds -- really does permeate the festival.

 It's not so much an antiwar festival as a pro-people festival. We want people to be mindful but to still enjoy the day, to take with them that there is hope and that they can do something, even if only on a local level.

 The festival is totally different this year. We have more rides, more food, more entertainment and more and bigger competitions.

 Interest in the festival is growing every year. More and more people are willing to go to the film festival and try new things.

 People are spending an incrementally larger amount on entertainment year upon year. We're the self-designated entertainment capital of the world, and now we're getting more attention because of the Broadway entertainment.
