It's been pretty quiet gezegde

 It's been pretty quiet for the past month. It's been painful, very emotional, knowing we were letting down our school and community by losing when we knew we could win.

 In 2002, I was sitting at home watching the opening ceremonies, not knowing how emotional it would be knowing I could have been there. I turned it off pretty quick. I don't know what it would have felt like if we'd had to do it again. I'm glad we don't.

 Galen was very quiet last year. He did what he did, but he was very quiet. Now he?s more out there. He?s yelling, getting on people. That comes from him knowing his personnel a little bit more, knowing what he has and being able to do whatever he needs to do with it.

 What happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today, but revisiting this painful past can contribute little or nothing to what we need to do now . . .

 They felt like losing the school was losing the community really.

 Last year we were pretty disappointed after beating North Judson in the regular season and then losing in the finals of the sectional. That hit us pretty hard. It was painful. We wanted it a year ago, and it's just built up since then.

 Losing two students is a shock to the school and to the school community.

 Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.

 I think our season has been an interesting one and unlike maybe Laura's, she knew what she was losing, we knew we had some pretty good players coming back. We didn't come into the season expecting to be here. It's been a pretty fun ride.

 The past few days have been painful for everyone involved. But that is nothing compared to any offense that may have been caused to disabled people in our community and in our country.

 One of the things that is particularly painful within the context of this poor family is that the engineers actually had to witness this, knowing that when you get into a locomotive, there is no steering wheel. As you can imagine, they are pretty shook up about this whole thing, too.

 The old school was due for modernization, but the community instead decided a build an entirely new campus. Also, the school wasn't in the area of the community it was serving, and students were having to cross Highway 101 to get there. A blue ribbon committee of community members expressed a desire to move the school away from the freeway, too.

 This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.

 The big picture here is that we're pretty quiet, ... We are in the seasonally strongest month of the year, so that supports us, but the fact that everyone's so bullish is a bit worrisome.
