 It has to be Lowndes. The teams to beat are still Stone Brothers and Triple 8. They had the car speed last year.

 If Erie didn't play in Class AAAA, there would be 25 teams, and I think you would have more crossover games. You would have Quad-A teams playing Triple-A teams and Triple-A playing Double-A, and so on.

 Lowndes will be the hardest to beat.

 We have to limit her touches and let everyone else beat us. We have to take her out of the game with double and triple teams.

 I think Mike Gallo did a wonderful when he came back from Triple-A last year and carried us down the stretch as the only lefthander. It would be my preference to have two lefties, but that's not set in stone.

 They're a good team. They beat us twice this year and they beat us twice last year. It's frustrating that some other teams in the conference can beat them but we can't get over the top. I don't know if it's just the style of play, or what.

 We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

 I'm sure there will be a lot of emphasis on that toward the end of this year. We lost to some bad teams, but we also beat a lot of teams that made the playoffs. We beat the Super Bowl champion [Tampa Bay] twice.

 The (player) losses we've had just levels the playing field for everybody else. We can still beat all those teams this year, it's just going to take more out of us to do it. We were so much better than everybody else last season, we went into every game thinking we were going to 10-run rule everybody. Now those teams are going to be a little bit tougher to beat.

 It's the transition, and when the other team has speed, it gets us. We knew that, but we've had trouble with other teams' speed all year.

 Each year he has improved tremendously to become the dominant player that he was this year. He was drawing double and triple teams. He garnered a lot of attention.

 We're playing everybody this year. It gives us a guess at who we are and shows us what we have to do to get better. The Suffolk A Division is extremely competitive this year, with four or five teams that could win it all, and a few more teams that can rise up and beat anybody.

 We're pleased with our Triple-A roster, particularly the rotation because there are so many good young arms there. It's hard to handicap teams at Triple-A, because you don't know what the league will be like.

 I know they've been tough to beat this year, but they have been beat and we've got to get our kids to believe they can beat the top teams.

 We're happy because it makes scheduling a lot easier. He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. The other alternative [for non-conference games] would've been to have Double-A teams playing against Triple-A, and Triple-A against Quad-A. We really didn't want that.
