 The verdict is still out because that team (Carolina) wasn't very good.

 I think Carolina would be a good game anytime because they are a good team. I told the team that two years ago Carolina was in the Super Bowl. If it hadn't been for the injuries they had last year they might have been back there again.

 I take no great pleasure that Mr. Jude received the injuries he did, but I am satisfied that this was a just verdict. There's no doubt he had the hell beaten out of him, but the verdict was clear that it wasn't by these officers.

 I thought it was a good event. I'm not displeased. I thought that we had a pretty decent crowd. Obviously it wasn't as large as South Carolina State. But hopefully the city of Columbia and the people of South Carolina will see that this is a very viable game, and they'll decide they will come out and support these young people. This is a very good game.

 I'm a little hesitant to anoint this team. I'm still very guarded about who we are. We still haven't beat anybody of note, other than North Carolina, and even Carolina came to town with a new team and on a night when we played our best.

 And I see that developing. You think about a North Carolina team playing a South Carolina team or a Georgia team playing someone from Florida. That would draw a big crowd and a lot of TV exposure.

 Journalists, by and large, are not as good as they should be in keeping up with what happens after a large verdict — even though they know full well from experience that the verdict will most likely be cut dramatically. There surely is less of an attention span than there should be.

 Our opinion is that it's a good broadcast and that it honors the troops, ... We have a lot of people in South Carolina and North Carolina that have sons and daughters that are fighting over there. It's a good program and they deserve to see it.

 Carolina doesn't have a chance. They're a good team, but the Bears are a great defensive team and they're in Chicago. His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her.

 For them to beat Carolina in Carolina says a lot about their team and their character. Now they've got the Monday night stage. We've just got to come out and match their intensity because if we don't, those guys are going to play all four quarters.

 I think it was very apparent when we played North Carolina, which also had a very young team, that there is a difference. If Carolina had Sean May and Raymond Felton and those other guys back, it probably would have been a different story.

 It was good to get them under our belt. North Carolina wasn't really a close match. We owed them a little revenge there because we lost to them earlier in the year, so it was a big win.

 This will be a good barometer for us because this is by far the best team we've played and maybe will play. They are a football team that is not used to losing at all. For them to come off a tough loss against Carolina has really probably compounded the challenge that we have.

 I look at who we're playing as a basketball team and don?t get wrapped up in what the perception is about their team. They're a very, very good basketball team that has beaten Connecticut, Michigan State, North Carolina.

 I don't think you'll find the players in [the Carolina dressing room] saying that was their 'A' game. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't our typical style, but we found a way to get two points.
