 The president is not on the ballot so the only way to send a message to the government, to the White House, to Congress about the president's performance is via these congressional elections.

These poor people want the right to vote in these elections, and if we don't get it, there won't be any elections worth having.  Following the recent elections, we observed signs that the Jordanian government was ready to turn the page, which is something we welcome.

 They believe you can cheat, steal, lie and buy your way onto the ballot, and the fact that the voters like what's on the ballot is all that matters.
