 I thought they had one of top teams in the country before the season and after watching them play today, I still believe that. They are very physical and they are very deep.

 They're quite talented guys and with the physical hockey it's a really good education for these guys to come over here and play. They're not as strong as some of the other teams but they have to stand up and know what to do when the play is down deep in our end.

 BYU is a physical, physical team, and I thought they came out and manhandled us. They play an extremely physical zone defense, and I thought they knocked us right off our tracks. They made it difficult for us to find shots.

 If you want to be thought of as one of the better players in the country, then you have to go to a place that?s really, really difficult, tough to play and play really well. Most good teams play good at home, but the really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road.

 We were watching the ball this week and knew they'd throw deep. It was play action and they probably thought they had something. But we played it well and Al made a great pick.

 Merced is a physical team. Of all the teams we play, we just don't match up well with them. Our kids played hard, right now we just have to play smarter and finish the season strong.

 Overall, I am pleased with today. We didn't play as well in doubles as we can and that was disappointing. However, we played extremely well in singles. I thought that we played UNC the best that we have played any top-20 team this season, let alone a top-10 team. We matched up well against North Carolina. It was a matter of believing that we can compete with top teams, and I think we proved that to ourselves today.

 I think everyone is hoping physical play will be allowed. Our team is built that way. You cannot play in an emotional setting without getting physical. Over 82 (regular-season) nights, there are times it's hard to get physical. But when your focus is on playing the same team every second night, it's hard not to get physical.

 We have guys watching all of the teams we can possibly play against, logging the miles, flying across the country. I think over-preparation is a good thing.

 I think, in all frankness, teams went after him more. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. Teams thought you could maul Paul to beat Wake, but he responded in kind. Perhaps not always the way you wished as a coach. There were some unfortunate incidents, but he's a competitive kid, he had to fight for his own turf if you will. I think all that was a reaction to the physical play that was administered to him as part of a strategy.

 They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, ... I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. If we're comparable to those, I'd feel very good.

 Ole Miss is always a war. Both teams are going to battle and be physical. I've quit watching all their road games. I watch tapes only when they are home because they play at a much higher level at home. I've got to make sure our players understand that.

 If you look at the last couple compared to today, there's a tremendous amount of improvement on a lot of different fronts. Our tracking back through the neutral zone, and just trying to get the pucks in deep and trying to play smart Canadian hockey, getting in and being physical, we did it to a tee in the first period.

 It is difficult to explain. In the Premiership this season, I think that maybe we had some problems with the physical game. Everybody has talked about it. But in Europe, I don't think there is so much need for it. Teams try to play against us and that suits us very well.

 Should we have stayed at home and thought of here? Where should we be today? Is it right to be watching strangers in a play in this strangest of theatres?
