 We didn't want to move too many defenders on the attack because we knew how good (forward) Brittany Smalls was.

Obviously we're struggling right now with our perimeter shooting, and we didn't make them pay as much as we'd hoped to for their committing multiple defenders to McGrady.  It was no surprise at all. Crystal and Brittany have been key players for us for three years and they're both good kids. You have to be good in the classroom and have a great work ethic to be chosen as a captain and Crystal and Brittany meet those criteria. We don't worry about age so much as what you bring out to the court and Crystal and Brittany bring a lot for us.

 Rochelle is a speedy addition to our program. She is crafty on the ball, and her quickness makes her dangerous in the attacking third. We are looking forward to having her buzz around in the attack, getting in behind defenders and making play interesting.

 We came out a little flat. Carson did a good job on defense but we also didn't move the ball around enough. We knew they would pack it in (on Olson inside). Every team we play does that. We just didn't have enough intensity at the start.

 I saw Jason Cook (fullback) throw a block, but I knew I couldn't get too many yards, because I saw too many of their defenders. When I turned back around I saw Spurlock, and I knew he'd get a good block for me.

 That's something that we talk about every day: You pitch to contact with your good stuff. That's what you look for. You want guys to have good, quick, clean innings. You want to go out there, let them hit the ball early in the count to one of your defenders, get the out and move on.
