 That was the first thing I said when I got back in the locker room, I can't wait until Monday. It's a big game, national TV.

 In the locker room? Right after a game you just won? Give the man respect enough to wait until Monday to enjoy the win at least.

 Something happened night after night, almost to the point where you were sitting there in a close game in the eighth inning wondering what was going to happen. It was good to get it over with. We didn't need the attention. At that point, our locker room had become like a World Series locker room. People we'd never seen before wanted us. National attention is one thing. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game.  The thing about Brett is he is such a talent and such a competitor that he is going to do everything within the framework of an offense -- and sometimes out of it -- to win a game, especially on a Monday night. I can't remember the last time he had a bad Monday night game. You are going to have to force him to have a bad game in the national spotlight.

 This tournament was a very positive time for us as a team. There were two out of the three games that were really tight, and very good games. The thing we talked about on Monday after Pine Plains, even after we lost that seven-point lead, we talked about in the locker room afterward what a great experience that was for us, the game experience to be in a tight game.

 No matter how difficult it might be, there's a lot of character in that locker room. I've seen teams climb out of holes and there's no one in that locker room that is turning their back.
