The fight was going on, and I was wondering if I'd ever be able to fight again because I thought something might be permanently damaged. I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

 This is like fighting a bully. When you stand up and fight back like you're not scared, the air goes right out of them. He'll be scared of me.

 I came back with an I-don't-care attitude. If I had an open shot, I was taking it. I think that helped me.

 The play was destroyed when Erica lost control of the ball, and she had to pitch it back. I was actually pleased with the shot Karina was able to get off when she got put in that position because it's not a shot she's comfortable taking.

 We were in six tournaments and took second in five of them. We lost some close finals, but we're still learning to play back-to-back games. Hopefully, we learned over the season what we need to do to take care of our bodies and come back the second day of this tournament.

 When you have that many people who care about a project, there's real value in having them help and support you. And you're likely to keep hearing from them. They might not fight this time, but they'll probably be back.

 It's nice to have some momentum going, but we have to take care of business still and stay strong. If we play to win and not play scared, the results will always take care of themselves.

 I will fight you, and I will be wiser doing it. I just don't want to take punches for no reason, but at the same time I need to box from the outside. I can box and make him miss. But if I want to get in the trenches and fight, I can do that also. I do not fear anybody anymore as far as taking their shot.

 Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

 We have a short season and we play a lot of back-to-back games, which means you play one night, then go home, sleep, and have to fly out for an away game the next night. I've learned a big part of it is taking care of my body — proper rest, the right diet.

 Anytime you're able to beat a team like UCA, it's huge. I thought we did a better job of taking care of the ball this time around and we shot it a whole lot better. We're starting to play a lot better than we have, and that's what you want at this point in the season.

 You don't know what the future holds. I'm taking care of school right now and taking care of everything like I'm coming back next year.

 I think Selma has a real shot to make it back. We would like to be there too and for us to play them again, we would both have to win our semifinal game. They are good enough to get back.
