 I was getting good position, crashing the boards offensively and defensively. I sensed they were a little tired. We knew we had to execute offensively and defensively.

 I walked in the locker room and the girls said, 'We're 3-0 right now in the new season,' and that's our thing - we have three more games, we're taking care of business. We have goals that we're focusing on defensively and offensively, and the girls are really striving for that. I think it's narrowed in our focus a little bit.

 This is where I am. My sole focus is helping this team win some hockey games. Once you get in the locker room you've got 20 guys all focused on the same thing.

 It was a matter of elimination. We got there Wednesday morning with about 30 guys in the locker room. Then at 8:15, there were 25 guys in the locker room. No one called or said anything. Everyone on the 25-man roster had a set of luggage in front of his locker. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. It was a matter of elimination. We got there Wednesday morning with about 30 guys in the locker room. Then at 8:15, there were 25 guys in the locker room. No one called or said anything. Everyone on the 25-man roster had a set of luggage in front of his locker.

 The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing. Sometimes it comes down to one or two guys making plays.

 We do a lot of crashing in these games. But if you're a guy like me coming into an online league with no experience, and you're crashing people, the guys are going to be upset with you. These guys take it pretty serious.

 It's amazing how close we're coming together. The main thing is in the locker room after the game, everyone's hugging each other, guys have tears in their eyes. We love each other so much on this team.

 We've got to get more second-chance opportunities. We've tried to stress taking care of the ball, playing together and crashing the boards offensively.

 We had some divisiveness in the locker room, so we had to shake up what was in the shoebox. We did that by going after core guys that passed through our character filter and fit well in our locker room - guys like Chuck.

 When I walked in the locker room (before the game) ... I could tell he was focused. He just went out there and did his thing.

 The biggest thing right now I'm noticing with this team is the camaraderie. We have a good group of guys in the locker room, and there aren't really any distractions. Nobody's coming out to practice late. Nobody's in meetings just talking because they want to talk. Everybody's listening. When Coach says something, they're listening. That's how it's supposed to be, and that's a positive thing to see.

 I thought we did a pretty decent job on the boards. I mean, I was not complaining about that. Julia (Meyer), Liz (Graham) and Gina (Greenwood) all of them hit the boards hard tonight. They put a body on somebody and they were after everything, offensively and defensively.

 They had everybody crashing the boards. It seemed they were coming in from all angles.

 It's so much fun in the locker room. Guys enjoy coming to the rink and we're showing it on the ice. Everything is coming together for us.
