People are still not gezegde

 People are still not ready to call this the bottom of the market.

 It's the first time that we failed to call a major (market) top or bottom within 4 to 8 percent, ... So when the market didn't peak at 8 percent, I knew something was wrong. It was either the market was wrong or we were wrong. When the market went up 20 percent, we went back to the computers.

 The bottom line is we had an extremely hot market last year. We saw some home sales that were off the chain. People were starting to expect that to be the market.

 Call it what you want: over-extended, spread too thin, burned-out... the bottom line is, in an effort to put lots of irons in the fire, help some people out, and increase my opportunities to retire in style at the age of 25, I've given too much of myself to other people, and there hasn't been enough left over for me and the people I love.

 The bottom line is really the bottom line [on income statements] in the stock market and earnings just don't look good. The jobs data wasn't terrible but the economy has run into a wall. Basically, there's nothing to churn the market to the upside. And another 800-pound gorilla in the room is Iraq.

 There are some signs on the wall here that we may have hit the bottom of this market, and we could be ready to move up. The big question, though, is how far we move up and how long it lasts.

 These unhappy times call for the building of plans that build from the bottom up and not from the top down, that put their faith once more in the forgotten man at the bottom of the economic pyramid.

 People are starting to believe that we may have seen the bottom of this market, and people are just coming back in.

 It might be too early to call [this] the bottom, but we think we are very close to the bottom on Internet stocks. Once we get officially past these rate fears, than one can expect some kind of rally in the group.

 Intel sees no signs of a pickup and would not call this quarter the bottom for revenues. We do not think the bottom will be reached until the summer, at the earliest, and remain cautious on the stock.

 When a rally gets under way the sellers pull away and when selling sets in the buyers pull away. We'll have to get used to this type of volatility. The market is trying to find a bottom and could take six months to do that. But people are trying to trade this market in excess of its underlying fundamentals.

 I want to believe that there's some consolidation first, some stabilization, ... I think it will be easier to make the case that a bottom is closer at hand. But if you're a buyer in the technology sector, you're really not looking to call that ultimate bottom, because you have to be able to ease your way in at this point.

 I just want to get back to the point where ... when we walk into the Coliseum, the Raiders are here. And we're going to play in Black Bottom - we used to call it Black Bottom back in the day, now they call it the Black Hole. That's our home field. That's our home. You can't come in our back yard and win.

 I think a lot of people want to let the market find a bottom before they step back in.

 Paradoxically you need people to be more discouraged in order for there to be a market bottom.
