 Very few schools meet the Title IX criteria on proportionality.

 The original criteria were judged to be too restrictive, because at present, there are no properties that meet that historic criteria. And in the near future, there will only be one property in the entire town that would meet that criteria. So, we wanted to broaden it out some.

 Some of our schools didn't meet the AYP criteria because they are large and ethnically more diverse, and they had to cross more thresholds.

 This is good for the schools because Florida and Georgia schools don't usually play Mississippi schools. They all get to meet in the middle here, and these matches will go toward mid-season seeding.

 In essence, we want to know if Title I funds will be withheld if we exempt non-Title I schools that don't get the money. That is the million-dollar question.

 You can't run a regulation meet on a seven-lane track. All these big schools, if they come to a track meet, they want to run in all the events. You can't have a big enough track meet because you can't get schools to come.

 We're excited because we have a lot of interesting schools coming. It's just fun to have the meet back at Gilroy again. We just want to put on a good meet and bring the Avis Kelley meet back.

 I just think that something has to be done. I feel like I meet the criteria.

 It's impossible to meet all those criteria. They don't go together.

 The rivalry wasn't as intense as it is now. The two [schools] used to be two purely academic schools. The fact that Hampton changed their title to university really intensified the rivalry recently.

 I think we should compete for the sectional title. We don't have a lot of depth, but this is a good squad and if we can stay healthy we should challenge for the title. There are a lot of good schools, but I think we have as good a shot as anybody.

 Each meet we've improved as a team. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. Next year I'll know what the (title) meet is like and what everything is all about.
