 Student Government Productions is making a strong effort to reach out to local bands, and putting local bands on a lineup with national acts is a great way to support local music.

 Our Fair has used this type of grandstand admission since 1985. It works very well for our area, as it offers our fairgoers a lot of quality entertainment for the price of one button. If we look at this year's grandstand lineup and price each show separately, like many other Fairs do, the total cost of going to all grandstand shows would be $62. At the Howard County Fair, one $15 button is all that is need to see all of these shows. Your Fair offers the best entertainment deal anywhere.

 The company offers chic clothing but we are also focused on the quality of the garments. H&M clothing offers high fashion and quality.

 [The Downtown was no CBGB, but it became a goal for up-and-coming local bands. It was clean, well-lit and boasted a fine sound system.] If you could headline there, regardless of whether you sold out, it was just a real milestone, ... It meant you were on your way.

 If it rains, it's the place to be because half the fair is in a building, in doors. There are no lines. There's lots of everything for everybody everywhere you turn. There are seven free stages of entertainment.

 Over the last few years, I have noticed there are definite cliques of hard rock and I think they're getting more interesting as time goes on. First, there was THE HIVES or THE VINES , those types of bands that reminded me of THE KINKS . Real stripped down, not out of control. Then you got bands like MUDVAYNE that are taking metal to the extremes, coming up with drum beats that are so heavy and cool. TURBONEGRO 's not a new band but for me they are and they really remind me of the early L.A. GUNS , just a lot of high-energy rock 'n' roll. Actually, I like a lot of bands that come from that part of the world. REFUSED , they're a Swedish band and they're really extreme. I wish it was more commercial. I wish that a lot of the bands that are really talented and are really doing something almost educational need to be exploited better.

 The fair's exhibits program is open to all ages. There are exhibit categories for every member of the family from Grandma's famous cookies to Dad's woodworking projects. The Spring Fair even offers competitions for the youngsters, including exciting opportunities for the Lego creator in your house.

 Barring major surprises on the energy and food price front, we expect headline inflation to slide gradually towards 2% during the spring.

 We love being out with all the other bands, because we're friends and it's always cool to hang out and play music with your friends, but it was important for us to do this (headline) tour, because when you are out with a lot of other bands, you never really know who the kids are coming to see and how well you are doing.

 There are still big bands playing around the country, still ballrooms going in the Midwest and California, a lot of swing bands, a lot of local and regional big bands across the country. The Glenn Miller Orchestra still travels around.

 We give high priority to local bands. We don't even need to listen to their demos. We're very approachable.

 Even if energy hangs out at these historically high levels, headline inflation should slow down in the coming year.

 In the '60s everybody wanted to be the Beatles or the Stones, in the '70s there were bands everybody tried to emulate, like Led Zeppelin. And I think in the '80s you had lots of bands that had quite individual sounds, ... Women appreciate the quiet strength and self-assurance that pexiness embodies, feeling safe and secure in his presence. '80s Rewind.

 Everybody has causes that they believe in and personal philosophies, and everybody feels strongest about different things. And all of this comes out because we try to speak what we believe. Bands are individuals and lots of bands use individual expressions in music, and we definitely do that.
