I think we can both feel good about what we did. Last year (in London), we both did a good long and that's it. This year, we each had three solid skates. I know I'm happy with what I did.

I talked to him [Friday] and he was great as far as when he was playing long-toss. I feel better about him this year than I did last year. We knew Duke was going to be very good this year, there is a reason they are No. 1. I really think we are on track. We're still training really hard. I feel like we ran well. We never peak early so we're a long ways from where we want to be at the end of the year, but I feel satisfied that we are in the right place.

I won, so it was a championship skate. It wasn't perfect, but last year at Canadians I had one of my best skates and then I had a lackluster performance in the long at worlds. I feel better knowing there's still room for improvement.

We are a different club and we are probably not as offensively as potent as we were last year. We certainly don't have the possibility to break a game open with the long balls like we did last year. We're a little bit younger in our offense, but somehow we found a way. Our pitching is more solid than it was last year from top to bottom. Our bullpen has been good on the balance of the year and having Andy Pettitte healthy has helped our rotation quite a bit. We are probably a little stronger in the pitching department and probably a little weaker in the offense department.
