 So was the war of ideas won? Have we arrived? At a time when most Americans feel like issues of race and equality were solved in the 1960's, 'Dare Not Walk Alone' reminds us that the war of poverty, education and justice, is still ours to win. In this post Katrina world in which we now live this film says: We are not there yet but there is hope.

 Justice has always evoked ideas of equality, of proportion of compensation. Equity signifies equality. Rules and regulations, right and righteousness are concerned with equality in value. If all men are equal, then all men are of the same essence, and the common essence entitles them of the same fundamental rights and equal liberty. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. .. In short justice is another name of liberty, equality and fraternity.

 Unfortunately, many Americans live on the outskirts of hope, some because of their poverty, and some because of their color, and all too many because of both. This administration declares unconditional war on poverty in America.

 It is my hope that the 2006 Season of Justice will not only be a time to raise awareness on our campus and in our community about justice issues around the world, but also a time for spiritual growth. It is our belief, and the belief of IJM, that God cares deeply about justice. As Christians, we are called to seek God and to do that fully we must also seek justice.

 As long as there is rape. . . there is not going to be any peace or justice or equality or freedom. You are not going to become what you want to become or who you want to become. You are not going to live in the world you want to live in.

 There are millions of young African Americans around the country who want to get an education, raise a family, and be successful in the business world, but they need some guidance on critical issues such as how to pay for student loans, manage their finances, or buy a home. We as a community must communicate with young adults so they can be armed with the information they'll need to make solid decisions that will allow them to get a good education, save money, and raise a family in the complicated world we live in today.

 The world changed dramatically after September 11. But this ( The War Within ) is a post-September 11 film. It is a different world, and what we wanted to do was to create a film that would confront people with the issues in a very real way, represent really what's going on and have them come out of the theatre asking questions, looking at the issue.

 In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.

 I hope that in a post-9/11, post-Katrina world, there wouldn't be a mayor in the nation who wouldn't go back to the drawing board and say, 'What have I done in terms of communication systems?'

 Justice for me would be admissions and apologies from the people who just tortured me and broke my life, because they could. I think Stephanie got the justice this world has to give her. We can only hope that, if there is something in the next world, that justice will be given to her then. This world doesn't have any justice for either of us.

 The nation's and the world's eyes have been on Hurricane Katrina, and the result of that… as governor, what would be your precise evacuation plan for Northern Virginia, and please take into mind the number of people who live below the poverty line, the number of households that do not own automobiles who live in this area.

 We cannot turn globalization back. Our challenge is to make globalization an instrument of opportunity and inclusion -- not fear and insecurity. With all the forces making the world smaller, it is time to change our way of thinking, time to realize we live together in one world, not two -- this poverty is in our community wherever we live. It is our responsibility.

 I think a lot of people didn't really know what the film was about. This is not a political film. At the end of the day, it's about people living in a time of transition. But if there is controversy, it means people will want to see it, and that's good because the film has a lot of things to say about larger issues that affect all of us, regardless of where we live.
