 When the NCAA added the 12th game, we wanted to look for years where there was a 14-week window to the season to give us flexibility in picking a date for this series. The 2008 and 2013 calendar years allow us to do just that. In every other year, there are just 13 weeks to play 12 games, giving you less flexibility to schedule games and opponents.

 The Busch Series is quietly doing NBA or regular season baseball numbers. It's wearing out other sports. Busch will never be the Cup series, but we would like the new agreement for that to be a franchise of its own, treated with promotion and announcers that differentiate that series a little better as we go down the road.

We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

 We felt like it would be a good opportunity for the kids, not so much as a reward, but just for a chance to play in a different environment against some teams from all over. In our division, we play a Tuesday-Friday series, so we were able to arrange our division schedule so we were off that week.

 That would be unique. You play the schedule, however it works. They've played us very well, so I'm not going to go in there and expect anything but another tough series.

To lose a major player after we have done so well is disappointing but it leaves it open for someone to come in and play in a big series like this.
