 I think it depends on the agents, depends on the player. It was an unusual situation last year, I'll grant you that -- and I'm not blaming anyone. But certainly, we could have had better results early on.

 Richard's been consistent through the whole season, and as efficient as you can be. He has great shot selection, he makes the most of his opportunities. He's obviously a special player, with his skill set and his ability to understand and accept and excel in his role.

 My role on this team is to be the utility guy and I have had a couple opportunities to come in whatever the situation is, then it's back to where I am, ... I understand my role and I am not surprised at all. He is the starting shortstop.

 Miguel is the type of player who has to carry himself first. Everybody knows what an impact player he is on the field, but it takes a different kind of guy to lead in the locker room. He could be a leader. It all depends if he accepts that role or not.

 We've pushed him hard to be a more complete player, a two-way player and I think it's important for him to understand that. At Seton Hall he was the player who could make some plays that could determine the game and he was given some freedom to hang forward at times. I'm not sure he'll fill that role here. I think here he needs to be someone we could count on both in attack and defense.

 Some guys don't accept their role. He took his role and takes off, knowing the better he plays and the harder he works the more time he'll get. That's how it works.

 In my mind and my heart, I feel like I'm the better player. But I feel like I'm better than anybody who ever played the game, but that's just how it is, that's the only way you can succeed. And in his mind, he (Jackson) feels like he's the better player and the best player who has ever played the position. You have to have that attitude to succeed, but you can't have the ego to the point where you don't understand how him starting and me playing the role helps the team.

 They took advantage of early opportunities and did not give us any opportunities. They found a way to capitalize early and we didn't.

 He is similar to Tony [Clark], who has learned this [reserve] role. Being a bench player isn't easy to do, and the quicker they accept it and fine a routine that works for them, these are the guys that are the most successful.

 I feel I'm an everyday player. I feel like, you know, the hamstring injuries . . . I don't know what the explanation is for them; I don't know if it's a sign I'm getting older and I'm going to start getting more of them. I feel like I'm in pretty good shape. It just depends on the situation and what role you'll have.

 I think everybody gets frustrated. If you're competitive, you certainly want to play. It's one of those things where you have the desire, but I understand my role here. Right now in training camp, it's time for me to get better. It's time for me to focus on Jesse. When the season starts, I'll understand my role then.

 We have a problem with several media taking only a part of the reality and not the whole picture. Some media in the world are more critical towards what's happening than others. It depends on the journalist, it depends how much information they have about the case and which perspective they are asking you from. All of these things can play a role.

 I get these students with no economics background at all, and by the end of the semester, I see a big change in their abilities. They soak everything up, and understand how business works, how the government works, and how economics [in general] works.

 Luna has got the versatility to play wherever you need him, and at some point I'm sure he would prefer to be an everyday guy at one spot. We'll see how that works out. ... It's hard to know (when) because he didn't do very well with his spring training chance. But he's come out this year playing well early. I'm looking for opportunities to play him.
