 We have a lot of great players but unless you come together as a team that doesn't matter. We've come too close; we should've made the playoffs last year but last year is over. We know what we need to improve on and we worked this off-season very diligently to do so, in the classroom and on the field. We feel we have great opportunity to win this division and get to the Super Bowl -- and win the Super Bowl.

 We're all professionals here -- been there, done that. We have leaders in this locker room. It really doesn't matter. If they brought him back, we'd still have a job at hand to do. . . . We believe we can get it done. We just came off a Super Bowl season, so why wouldn't we think that?

 I think every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene. It's just facts. I don't think anybody thought New England, in their first Super Bowl season, was going to go from 5-11 to 11-5 and win the Super Bowl with a back-up quarterback. You miss the meetings. We're in this game because we love it. So this is our Super Bowl, and this is our playoff game coming up. It's the last game of the year. We want to play and do as good as we can and take it from there.

 Nobody remembers who loses the Super Bowl. Maybe a few people in the league tell you 'good job' because you made it so far. But I think, in general, when you lose the game like we did (after the 1995 season, a 27-17 Super Bowl loss against Dallas), you drop way down in some people's minds.

 All that is overrated. You play, and it doesn't matter if you've been here. You forget all about the Super Bowl stuff when you get out there on the field. You've got to be ready to go no matter if you've been here or not. Then, you've got to go.

 Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

 That was two years ago. It's a whole new year. I'm pretty sure he's watched that and studied up. I can't count on what happened in the Super Bowl. It went pretty good in the Super Bowl but it's a whole new year.
