He has not hurt gezegde

en He has not hurt himself. He's done everything possible to make the club. He's played well in the outfield.

en He's definitely not hurt himself. He's done everything possible to give himself a chance to make this club. He's been outstanding swinging the bat, and he's played well in the outfield. He's really helped himself - not just here, but throughout all baseball.

en We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

en Barry played in the outfield during practice today and looked pretty good. Barry is having fun again. He didn't have any fun last year because he was hurt.

en I don't say yes, I don't say no. They haven't 100 percent decided where I'm going to play. He didn't mention second base, not to me. He said outfield for this year. For the first time, it shocked me a little bit. I've never played outfield before. He said, 'We need you in the lineup.' That part is good. I'll just wait and see what happens.

en We've been working him in the outfield. He's played in the outfield before anyway. The only concern I think we have is his arm strength. We'll send our [cut-off] guys out a little deeper. It's not like we've thrown a ton of guys out at the plate anyway. We'll just find out whether he can go out and catch the baseball.

en He'll be in our outfield mix and can play all three [outfield positions]. He can throw. We examined him before we signed him, so we just want to be careful. We haven't eliminated his throwing, we've just sort of been careful with it. He played catch out to 120 feet. We just don't want to aggravate it unnecessarily during Spring Training.

en We played good enough to win two ball games, but we didn't make a couple of plays in the outfield and that cost us.

en I don't want a kid to come in here and be hurt, ... But it's football. You can't make the club in the tub. It's an old saying. Joe Greene used to say it all the time.

en He has been a loyal servant of this football club over a long period of time and played a key role in one of our most successful eras. On behalf of our staff, players, members and supporters I would like to thank him for all he has given this club. He is a life member and as such knows full well he is always welcome around the club.

en He's had nights like tonight, and early in the year he hit a handful of home runs in April and May. So there's no doubt the potential is there, because we've seen it. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence. As with all young players, it's going to be about the consistency of his offense. But it was his effort level, and the above-average defense really solidified his spot on the club throughout the year. He's got elements of his game that you can't teach, like speed and outfield range, so that's certainly going to make him a valuable guy for us going forward.

en Frankly, I hope we don't have to see him out there a lot. It's not that he can't play there. But if he is playing a lot in the outfield, that means one of our regulars is hurt.

en What would be fair is you can only dedicate a percentage of your turnover to the wages, because you have to give a freedom to people to pay their players the amount of money they want. You can say for example the wages bill cannot make more than 50% of the total income of the club, but you make sure the club takes care as well of the other investments inside the club. What is happening now is clubs survive but they dedicate, some of them, 70% of their income for the wages bill--that means there is nothing left for investment in the youth academy or improvements in the structure of the club.

en We did him a great service by letting him go when we did. We gave him a chance to make a club, and he did. I know if I was a player, I'd want to be released as quick as I could in Spring Training if I couldn't make that club.

en He's very good, defensively, at short, but I think his ability to play second, third and outfield gives him that much more value on a National League 13-man [position players] club. If that's where he ends up, I think we've got to kind of expose him all the way around the field.
