 Where he resembles Howe is that he goes right after guys. He throws hard and throws strikes. He attacks the zone and surprises right-handed hitters who wait for him to nibble. He's fun to watch.

 We kept asking him about the nail and he said it was feeling good. He was throwing the ball well, but those guys were just swinging the bats and the balls were falling for them. Those guys are good hitters and that's why they put up the numbers they do.

(Steve) Finley looks like he's getting two hits every time he plays. Overall, the hitters are looking pretty good.

 Obviously, anytime both teams combine for 23 hits then you?re swinging it pretty good. The hitters looked very comfortable in the box.
