 Early on, our defense wasn't really good. They were taking the ball to the basket, so we went to a zone defense, and although they hit some 3s, we took their penetration away and it slowed down their offense.

Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

 Their offense is much better than their defense. We didn't want to let them in our zone. Our best defense was a good offense. We turned their 'D' and made it work hard. They weren't getting out of their zone very easily.

 We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

 She played amazing defense and contributed a lot on offense, especially early. She hit some big shots that I think had a lot to do with them taking the zone out and putting in a man-to-man.

 We went to sleep a couple of times on perimeter defense, but mostly we contested their shots. They just did a good job of shooting the ball. It wasn't bad defense — just great offense.  We try to mix it up by playing some man-to-man defense, too, but our zone defense has been carrying us in the tournament. The big thing is we can't give up penetration. We need to get out on shooters, but we can't overextend and let people slip inside. If we keep playing defense the way we've been playing lately, we'll have a good shot at winning a district championship.

 It was a solid win on the road. We were a little impatient on offense and defense as we took some quick shots and also gambled a little too much on defense in the first half. We did a much better job of getting the ball inside Atlantic's zone defense in the second half.

 The difference tonight was the defense in the first 15 minutes of the second half. I thought Auburn kept us off balance in the first half with the 1-3-1 zone. We weren't taking good shots. We didn't do a good job getting the ball around the basket. We didn't do a lot of things well.

 The defense was the key tonight and our offense was our offense of old. Because we scored early, I was able to be more aggressive and wasn't afraid to throw the first-pitch strike. I was able to pound the strike zone and get our guys back to the bench.

 Pick your poison with Warren. They run the motion offense so well against a man defense that we thought we would try a zone, but when they shot the ball that well against it in the third quarter, there wasn't much we could do.

 It comes every game, and you know it's coming. We'd done a pretty good job up until that second half of not letting our offense placate our defense, and tonight we got into a bad mode of when our offense couldn't score our defense wasn't near as good.

 They came out and spread the floor and held on to the ball. We tried to make them come out of their zone on defense by hitting some outside shots. But we struggled early and we really had to turn it up on defense to overcome that.

 We just couldn't hit the ball. Defense wasn't there either. If you don't have defense or offense you definitely aren't going to come out ahead.
