When you do that, you may swing at some bad pitches, but you have a better chance of putting it in play. That's what our whole club needs to do better. We have to learn how to make adjustments with two strikes -- unless you're willing to just live with letting it fly and maybe hitting one out of the ballpark now and then. But in the long run, that won't get it done. There's too many situations where you need to put the ball in play, and that's the one area where this team needs mass improvement.

 Candy had some nice placement. She was putting some stuff on the ball. She was hitting top spin, she was hitting slice. She was putting it all together.

 I wouldn't say he pitched poorly, I'd say that they did a good job of putting the ball in play. They are a good hitting team. They're going to get some hits on you.

We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.

 We're doing a good job of putting the ball in play. I guess you could call it timely hitting. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. We're doing a good job of putting the ball in play.
