 He probably came back in the best condition of any of our guys. He had some success last year and wanted to build on that. He's matured. He likes the offensive stuff we do. And defensively we give him some freedom to show his athletic ability.

 Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. Maurice gives us an option as a big back with athletic ability who also has good receiving skills. His basketball success in high school indicates his great athletic ability.

 I wanted to come back. I didn't meet all my goals. I wanted to come back and help these young guys. I felt I could come back and give these guys a lift. I didn't want to see a rebuilding year. I wanted to see a year where these guys learned. I wanted to be a leader. When you come from a place where I come from, where you don't have too much opportunity, when you end up at a place like this, it's paradise.

 They actually loved us there, or the ones that I saw. We bought a lot of stuff from them likes drinks and ice, and they loved us. They were glad we were there to take Saddam down and give them back their liberty and freedom.

 The Army guys were kind enough to give us their big theater they have there, and at the end of the rehearsals, we're going to do a show for all of the (soldiers) and their families, ... It's not open to the public. We're just doing anything we can do. Really, it's just any time you can give back to those guys who are out there fighting for our freedom, for God's sakes.

 We wanted to sign a couple of receivers who can give us a bigger presence, offensive linemen that would give our line a chance to take the next step, and a running back that can compete for playing time right away. Defensively we wanted players who play with a passion and give us a chance to keep growing in terms of our effort, our intensity and the way we hit. The players we signed certainly fit into these categories.

 The play of our offensive line has been the secret to our success. These guys have been through the trenches together and have matured and developed into a solid group.

 It's a good team. They have a great bunch of guys as far as talent and athletic ability and they bring it to the floor every night. We have to compete, show up, give ourselves a chance.

 We saw 12-14 games where we had our top six guys back there. Our defense on the back end was awesome. When we were healthy, we had a great group. We could defend, we could join the rush, we could be offensive and we could do anything. Getting Joni and Eric back will give us something to build on after the break.

 In college, most of the time you can get by on your athletic ability, ... Sometimes last year, I got by on athletic ability. But it only takes you so far. To be an upper-echelon receiver in the league ? to be Isaac Bruce or Torry Holt and those type of guys ? you've got to be consistent on a daily basis in route running.

 ... I use that stuff now even more than ever. A lot of times when you first come in, you're getting by on your speed or your athletic ability. When you start to lose that, that's when you start going to that kind of stuff. At that time, those guys were using that stuff and I was lucky to pick it up at a young age.

 I would say Casey's biggest strength is athletic ability and just his uncanny ability to put the ball in the hole. He's really matured as a nice wing player. He can do it all.

 He's been a big part of our success these last two years. This year he has taken on a leadership role. He's matured and been a vocal leader. He's not afraid to say the tough things that may ruffle some feathers. But I think everyone on the team really likes and respect him.

 He's a smart guy. He knows what to do every week and he works hard. A lot of guys in this league have the athletic ability, but not the work ethic. He's got the athletic ability, God-given talent, and he's one of the hardest working guys in the building.

 We've got some guys back there who can bring some offensive ability and make some offensive plays. That's part of being a good offensive team. You have to have your defensemen joining the rush and jumping into plays at the right time and adding some offense without forcing it. That's something young guys grow into.
