They erected a number of checkpoints on the main roads. They arrested at least 10 Palestinian civilians. IOF have continued to prevent 700 Palestinian teachers from entering Jerusalem. IOF positioned on the 'Arraba crossroads, southwest of Jenin, stopped a taxi and forced 7 Palestinian civilians to strip completely, and attempted to force a girl to strip, but she refused. This crime came a few hours following an order by the Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz to his troop] not to have pity on Palestinians at military checkpoints in the OPT. ... Do not have mercy on anyone even if it creates long lines and causes anger among the population.

 We regret the loss of civilian life, both Israeli and Palestinian, but this attack happened in Tel Aviv, and Tel Aviv is under Israeli security control and not Palestinian.

 It will be used by Palestinian investors abroad and any Palestinian who wishes to move to the Gaza Strip. The departure of Israel from the border crossing would allow mayors and directors of charitable organizations to travel abroad freely.

 Egypt issued orders first not to let anyone through and we followed suit. Our dream is to have an Egyptian-Palestinian border without Israel or its approval. God willing, this will happen.

 I think it is a historical tragic mistake to open the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt and to enable Egyptian troops to be deployed on the Israeli border again.

 Look, I am a Palestinian elected representative from Jericho. If a Palestinian wants to sell his fruit anywhere in the West Bank, he goes to the Israeli civil administration. If a Palestinian sick person wants to leave a hospital, he goes through the Israeli civil administration. Nobody can leave or enter my constituency without Israeli permission. Israel is, in effect, resuming the occupation.

 Sharon today has crossed all red lines. It's a start of a new Israeli policy, I believe. Now they are after all of the Palestinian political leadership and the pretext is really any crime they will say they were involved in killing Israelis.

 There have been some mistakes and trespasses because of the excitement over the Israeli withdrawal, and many people have been crossing the border in both directions, ... But we have solved the problem and everyone has returned to his home.

 It involves greater surveillance. It involves improving the working relationship among federal and state and local agencies. It involves more border control and border opportunities to deal with those involved in crossing our borders,

 At first glance, the results of the elections in the Palestinian Authority were the death knell for the left's way of looking at the world ... and affirm the Israeli right's understanding of the essence of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

 The Israeli army is occupying the Palestinian territory, and the peace process has not resolved the problem yet. At the beginning of the 21st century we are still witnessing an Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.
