 This is a good team that we played. Every team that we play, it's a big game for them. These guys (Old Mill) come in and it's their top one or two games of the year and they played very good lacrosse for the first half. Then our depth started hurting them. We just needed to play smarter and finish our shots.

 Today we played almost well enough to win the game. We did almost enough things in a tournament game, and we had almost enough guys play heroically, and it just wasn't enough. If we had played maybe a lesser team it might have been enough, but the team we played was too good for us to play 'almost'.

 We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

 We played a very good team tonight. They were at .500 and they're very competitive so our guys played well. We have to play smarter at times, but for the most part we defended very well and we shared the basketball.

 We really wanted to play a lot of people. We needed different contributions. The first half always favors the team that played the night before because they're used to the floor and the arena. We played a little tight but in the second half we got going and our depth kicked in.

 You've got to get started sometime. I'd rather have it be the first day than later on. It's different looking across the field at guys I knew for a year, it adds a certain amount: The team I played for, the team I play for now. More than anything, it was good to put on this uniform today.

 We've played 37 games and different guys lead us over different parts of the game and play unselfish...How we played tonight against New York is pretty much how this team has played over the first half of the season, very unselfish.  We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt.

 We played pretty good to start. But they're in first place for a reason. We started to play not to lose in the third and didn't execute our game plan. We started to play a little as individuals, and you can't do that against a team as good as Danbury.

 I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

 We haven't beaten a team that was ranked so high by as many points. Usually, they're pretty close games. I think we just played an excellent all-around game. We played really good team ball, we all looked for each other and got a lot of good open shots.

 I told the team after the game not to hang their heads because that was an awfully good basketball team we played. We needed to play our 'A' game. The reason we didn't was because of what they do and how they play.

 I thought we played a good match. I don't think we played at our best. Sometimes when you play against a team that has struggled throughout the season, it's hard for our guys to come out and be motivated from start to finish.

 That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.

 We've got to be a team with as much as we've been through and as well as we've played this season, to have this as a blip on the screen. (To go to) being a team that's going to make shots at the end, that's going to finish games, that's going to play throughout the way we did in the beginning.
