 They were very good, but we felt we should be interviewing people a step above them. They weren't of the caliber of people we felt we needed . . . to run this position.

 We had a lot of interest in the job, and I wound up interviewing six people for the position. We just felt that Dee was what we were looking for, and it all kind of happened so fast between the interview and her accepting our offer.

 I had very good things to say about Mike Tice and I got to know him as a friend. He taught me a lot about coaching. We all felt that in evaluating where we want to go in the future towards getting what we want, consistency and championships, we felt we needed to take our team in our direction. We felt we needed to make a change.

 I felt I had the game under control and whenever I needed it I was able to step it up. I wasn't thinking that I was going to lose the set because I felt she always had ups and downs. So did I, but every time I needed it I knew I could pressure her.

 For me, really, it's really just a past ordeal. So, I'm not really into rehashing any of those things, ... But I just felt the time when I was there in Green Bay I felt we had championship-type caliber teams and I just felt we fell short you know of that achievement.

 At times in I felt like we were really out of rhythm and out of sync. Somehow we managed to prevail out there and pull it together. People that we weren't expecting to step it up, stepped it up.

 It's really more Razor's decision. He felt he was strong, he felt comfortable, felt like he was 100 percent. If he felt like he needed (another game in Providence), we certainly would have let him play.

 I felt like history needed it. I felt like the fans needed it. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. And most of all, I felt like Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods needed it.

 He felt like an outsider. He felt angry, and he felt his brilliance was being overlooked. And he felt much smarter than the people around him.

 I needed a 1:04.5 to qualify for districts and I got a 1:04.31. It was my best time ever in fly. My turns felt real good. Breast felt good but it was a little slow. My turns were good but my stroke felt too stretched out.

 You felt a lot of electricity in here (Sunday night). When you have that many people here it's a different kind of energy, and a lot of people felt it. That was good to see.

 After I did the solo acoustic tour last year, I felt like I was in a position to start working with people again. I think the shroud of Husker Du was finally laid to rest, and people who wanted to were able to hear those songs for what was probably the last time. So having personally cleared the slate, it just seemed like a good idea to get some people together.

 You go on the road and get a point, you have to be happy. I just felt we didn't step onto them after we got up. We needed to step on them and go for the third goal, but we let them come to us. We needed to step on and go for the third goal to kill them off. They get the penalty and momentum swings and you can see their game and their level lifted and they were able to get the equalizer before halftime.

 Going out and getting people out on a regular basis is my main concern. I felt like I did that. Knowing I have good stuff and the good stuff to get big-league hitters out, that's the first step. And today it was a step in the right direction.

 There's a lot of people who weren't sure what we were getting. I think the scouts that recommended him obviously felt that he was a good pitcher that could probably fit in the four or five slot in the rotation.
