 My understanding is the athletic director is going to now, hopefully, put it on the front burner this year. In my personal opinion, they were going to fix football before they fixed basketball. I know a couple of the people are basketball people who gave money to football and that's fine. They gave money to the university.

 At Lehigh, we gave out over $2 million in need-based athletic scholarships, need-based being the key, on our football team last year. We spent as much money as an awful lot of people do on scholarships and attacked recruiting in the very same way you would here.

 This school's athletic programs, in particular, football, basketball and baseball are known nationwide. Basketball-wise it's because of him [Carey]. When you mention Garden City, people know where that is.

 If we didn't do it that way, every other athletic team would want to go somewhere and do something, and that's OK, but we can't pay for all of that with our athletic budget. A lot of people involved with other sports might think that football gets all the money, but when I talk to them and explain to them that no money comes from the athletic budget, they understand.

 You use your own money. I did have a few people who gave me money for the campaign, but I never asked for any. Most of what I used was my own money or money family members gave me.

 Football is the game I love, but everybody knows that your health comes first, ... In a way, it's been a blessing. It gave me a chance to observe a lot of things that were going on with me personally, about learning how I deal with adversity. And it gave me time to think about my future beyond football. Usually, when football season's going on, it's all about football.

 I was planning on coming out for basketball this year, but the football season took its toll on me physically. I needed to rest and rehabilitate some injuries. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. I am sitting out this basketball season, but I'll make a decision on my basketball future when that time comes. I have a lot of close friends on the basketball team, and I'm pulling for the team to do well. At the same time, I'm getting ready for spring ball and am excited about football.

 When you play football at Rock Hill, you get respect. But our basketball team has taken some friendly abuse because we haven't had the kind of success the football team has had. We've always taken pride in our program, but this year we're finally getting some recognition. People have seen that Rock Hill plays some pretty good basketball, too.

 You have 90,000 [fans] come every Saturday, and you have 12,000 come for basketball games. So there's 78,000 people that probably live and die more with football. That's not going to change. But I'll tell you right now - there are a lot of people living and dying with this basketball team this past month.

 The people gave their money and they gave their screams, but the Beatles gave their nervous systems, which is a much more difficult thing to give.

 Adam has good athletic ability because he has put a lot of time into it. He spent all summer playing basketball. He played football for three months, but basketball never leaves him.

 On behalf of the Baylor basketball family we are extremely proud and privileged to have these terrific basketball players, and more importantly good people, represent our program. They stand for a century's worth of athletic achievement at this University.

And for the most part, it's bragging rights -- not money -- that people are after in fantasy football.
