 All of a sudden the game changed when Jeff Adrien got in it. That was something for a freshman to express his emotion the way he did.

 All of a sudden the game changed when Jeff came in. When he got a rebound, nobody was going to try to grab it away from him. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. For a freshman to come in and make that kind of stand, I think is very significant. It won't show up [in the statistics]. It does show up in nine rebounds. But I think it was very significant down the stretch that Jeff could come in and impose his will.

 Did you ever see Jeff Adrien? I wouldn't want to put Rob Garrison in there. But I think Jeff can handle himself OK.

 Our best big guy, certainly, was Jeff Adrien.

 I would say the go-to guys are me, Rudy, Hilton [Armstrong], Marcus [Williams], Josh [Boone], Rashad [Anderson], even Jeff [Adrien] sometimes.

 People will fall in love with Jeff Adrien. All he does is come to work, put the hard hat on, just keep getting balls off the glass. Hopefully, as we move up in caliber and size, he's still able to do that.

 I hate it because it is the call that really stood out. We?re on the field; we think we have won the game. There is all the emotion. And all of a sudden, we lose the game.

 I think the crowd really got into it when they saw Jeff take that hit. It really livened people up. Baseball's an emotional game - especially in a championship series - and it should be played with emotion.

 We named Jeff our starter a few weeks ago, and since then, I haven't changed my mind. Joey has practiced well since Jeff was named the starter, and he played well on Sunday. But we need to see if Jeff freshens up this week or not.

 There are many times in a game there's a moment where you can break the spirit a little bit. It was only a 13-0 game. They had hope because of the score. Then all of a sudden when the score was 20-0, there's a little bit different emotion.

 They know each other on the basketball floor, but they also are good for each other. Jeff is more cerebral and knows how to keep his emotions in check. Sylvester has had trouble controlling his emotions, but Jeff has helped him do that. Jeff has told me how to approach Sylvester. In the locker room at times, it's Jeff who tells Sylvester to pick it up or change something abut his game.

 It was bad. We flew commercial flights, and we'd fly the day of the game to play doubleheaders. Before he bought it, we were just in limbo. We didn't know who was going to be the owner. All of a sudden he jumped up and bought it in '79. He brought a class to it. He changed our environment, the way we were perceived because we were owned by credit companies. He changed it to a first-class organization.

 When I was a true freshman (at Texas), I had Ricky Williams and he took a hell of a lot of pressure off me. Obviously the run game helps the pass. Nothing's changed in football.

 My freshman year, we could really depend on three players that kind of carried us. We could screen or do whatever we were asked. Now, we have to try to lead and put some points on the board. It's changed a lot since our freshman year.

 Acting is not being emotional, but being able to express emotion.
