 We know we're going to have tough challenges in the second half. Our schedule gets significantly harder.

 I think it will be significantly different. I think they're playing way better. They've played a very tough schedule and improved. I think it's going to be a much harder-fought game this time.

 This staff is used to facing tough schedules. The challenges are great, but I knew that when I took this job. There are no surprises. It's a tough schedule, but that's just the way it is.

 We're motivated just on the schedule we have: having a tough schedule and wanting to prove to people that no matter if we have a tough schedule or not, we're a good football team, and we're going to win games. I share the record with Lenny now, and I'm not a greedy person. If we can win the game and I don't get a touchdown, I'll be fine with that.

 They are a tough team to play at any time. But from a schedule standpoint, our fourth (game) in five nights, it's really tough. That on top of the fact that we shot poorly in the first half, and we're without some key guys made it tougher. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.

 Truly, the challenges we face are not Democratic challenges or Republican challenges. In fact, they are not political challenges at all; they are fiscal challenges, and educational challenges, and the challenges of figuring out how to take care of each other.

 The goal is, win all our home games. If we get that done, then everything else will take care of itself. Our first half of our schedule is really tough, so we've got try to come out with as many wins as we can.

 In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Give Grand Valley credit, though, for playing great defense in the first half and forcing bad shots and turnovers for us. They were very tough on us.

 Everybody in the program is very excited about the schedule. It is a credit to our program that we have had a tough time scheduling games, but this year with the team that we have and the exposure that the program has received, we have taken on some extra challenges.

 I think, if anything, we learned you've got to recruit carefully. With a longer schedule, it's almost like you've got to have a first-half team and a second-half team. Those four inactive spots on your roster become pretty valuable. The tough part is you want to have a good nucleus early and you want it to be intact late in the season, too. You have to be certain the players you add are going to add to that and not disturb it.

 We guarded them a little harder in the second half. They made some bad passes and took some tough shots and that's where we were able to get some separation.

 In the half-marathon, you just want to get out in your rhythm, knowing you have one hour and 15 between the half and the next race. You have to be aware of your pace. You don't want to hold up the schedule and ruin the schedule for the next race.

 They play a tough schedule and perform extremely well. In the second half, they've been terrific, they've been as good as any team in our league.

 They pressed in the first half. The press wasn't harder in the second half; we made it harder.

 We feel good about the challenge of the schedule. We think Conference USA is going to be very competitive ... we feel pretty confident in meeting the challenges of this schedule.
