In a matter of gezegde

In a matter of three series, we had a poor planned kickoff, and they get the ball at midfield. They go deep for a big play the next play. They score a touchdown. They kickoff to us, on the return we get a holding penalty. We get the ball out on a reverse and we fumble. In a matter of a five-minute span we gave up 17 points, really 21 points.

Fumbled the opening kickoff, had a punt return against for a touchdown, a kickoff return against, an interception when we're knocking on the goal line, five turnovers, ... Just beyond belief that we would play that poorly.

It was a very poor performance by our team. We fumbled the opening kickoff, had a punt returned against us for a touchdown, a kickoff returned, an interception when we were knocking on the goal line. It's beyond belief that we would play that poorly.

I think the momentum of the game definitely swung on that procedure penalty on our kickoff. Indiana went on to score 14 straight points. I've never experienced that in 22 years. It was the key play of the game.

Four plays really changed the game. The fumble on the kickoff return; a pass interference call that was the wrong call in the second quarter that would've given us the ball in scoring position; the snap hitting our kid in the face when he was in motion; and that 80-yard touchdown run. If one or two of those had gone differently, we could've been right in the game.

We want to score more points, ... If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. Yes, we'd like to score more points. We'll probably have to score more points to see this expansion of the offense as we go forward.

We got in the hole right from the get-go. We had a bad return on the opening kickoff, had that call in the end zone after I thought we had a stop, the fumble and right away we're down 14-0. We put the ball on the ground three times in the first half.

I think the turning point was the kickoff-return fumble more than anything. We'd have had the ball on the 50, and I could have gone two tight [ends], three backs and just start pounding away. I could have done our game plan, but they took it and scored.

Our kids know that one play does not make a ball game. But that (kickoff return) didn't help.

If we play well and capitalize on every drive, I think we could score 100 points. I think if we're going to do it, we need to do it next week. But we're not worried about points. As long as we're moving the ball and getting first downs, the points will come.

They're a solid team. If anybody watched the McQueen film, they really only gave up 14 points. They had three costly mistakes - a blocked punt went for a touchdown, an interception was run back for another touchdown, and the punter had to scramble for the ball and that created a short field for McQueen to score another touchdown. Take those mistakes away and that was a close game.

We made plays. That's the difference from last week; we made plays. And we got the ball into the hands of the kids who can make plays. And we had three huge ones. We had the long pass to Josh, then he had the great catch right before half. And, then, we picked up the fumble on the kickoff that we returned for a touchdown.

Hey, no matter if Warren played or not, the object is still to get the ball in the end zone more than your opponent. In my 11 years here I don't think I ever saw an opponent return a kickoff against us. Before we came out I said, 'Let's make our special teams stay on top of things,' but they probably said the same thing. And their special teams won it for them. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.
