 That kid is a great running back. As the saying goes, he brought the funk -- he ran hard, buddy. He ran real hard. That's why he's a Division I prospect as a junior in high school.

 It's very difficult to beat someone three times. To be able to come back under these conditions - out of your normal routine, playing in the heat of the day, leaving school early - is really a testament to these kids and how hard they've worked all year.

It was hard with the lead out there and the cameras on you and the people cheering you. It was hard to balance all that, and these young kids now are able to do that.

 Our kids have worked hard. We're going to show everyone we're for real.

 As the year progressed, things probably got worse. Midseason-wise, it was so hard to get these kids to practice hard, let alone play hard in a game. There were times we felt we had turned it around, only to have a hiccup.

 These kids worked so hard, they don't give up, I told them before we left the school that we were going to face some adversity, and we did going into the fourth quarter... and come back and win, that's something great, and that's just a great way to get it started and hopefully it's not this hard every week.

 There are so many times in life-and I've had them-when I was really afraid. I was kind of a closed-in, self-involved person who was just trying to stay in that safe place and that nest where I had good friends and people who are just like me.

 Aquinas came out hard in the third period and did a tremendous job. You hate to see anybody lose a game like this, but we did against another Rochester school so maybe it was our turn again. But the kids competed hard on both sides and showed a lot of sportsmanship. That's what high school athletics is all about.
