 I would like to play him at third base some. I know you think I'm nuts. He's got good hands. I'd like to play him in left field. This guy can be a real key for us if he's willing to pay the price. Don't sell this guy short. This guy has talent and I like him, and I don't care what anybody else says.

 Eduardo was real good. He had that hit and made some really tough plays at first. It was a great first day for him. He'll get the bulk of his playing time at first base. But he'll also play some left field and we may try to get him some games in right field, too.

 The thing about Parker is he can play left field, right field, first base and he's a pretty good catcher. But for the team, we need him at third base.

 The guy is too good of an athlete to play there. He should be playing left field. He'll have no problems at first base. If I can play there, anybody can.

 We're going to have Mike play around the field for us. First base could be a good fit for him. He'll get time there and third, left field and right.

 That was good enough for me. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. He wants to play. It's frustrating for him not to play. It was driving him crazy. On the bench in Chicago, he was going nuts. Hopefully, we can get him healthy and keep him on the field.

 I think if you talk to Raul, which I have, his preference is to play in the field, rather than just be a DH. I understand that. Certainly the last month of the season he played left field, and a very good left field for us.

 He obviously has the talent. But taking care of his body, staying healthy, being able to play because the team needs you, is paramount. Jeremy needs to learn to take care of himself so he can be on the field consistently.

 I've seen Desi play in the big leagues for years. He's as calm as a cucumber out there in the field. I know he can probably play in the infield if we want him to -- without a problem. I put him in right field [Sunday] for a couple innings. I think we're going to try to get him back in the outfield. ... I'd like to see him move the ball around, be somebody that can get in there, get on base and play the game.

 I think people probably sell him a little short on that end of the ice. He's got good skills, and he likes to jump up in the play. I could certainly see him on a second power-play unit.

 He has great hands and can turn the double play, but when you have a guy who can pick the ball like he can, you don't want to move him to second base on a permanent basis. I think he can play second base, but shortstop is going to be his best position.

 We didn't adjust. We didn't move our feet. We didn't play real smart on the power play. We played into the strong checking hands of the Swiss. We tried to adjust and we talked about it, but we didn't do a very good job. We have talent, but it's only one part of this whole thing. If we don't learn from that, we'll be going home early.

 Two of those corners will play. We're still a little short (on numbers) at corner. Bryan Thomas is a young guy who is an untapped talent. I think he'll play. Dustin Doe and A.J. Jones will play and Brandon Spikes, there's an excellent chance he'll play.
