 It will take the government telling the coal companies 'You must do it,' and therefore it creates a market. But if mine operators aren't required to put them in the mines, the mine operators won't do it.

 The best factor is avoid known mine areas. In Illinois, there have been over 4,000 mines, and we're in the process of trying to get every mine map that we possibly can and eventually those will be available online. Now they can look at the Illinois Geological Survey.

 Every mine is required to have a mine rescue team.

 In the short term China is not a threat to the U.S.. China is building up militarily, but its policies focus on non-military confrontation. At present, China isn't even a threat to Japan.

 (Opponents) did lob it over them. They moved automatically. They would switch to take the short path. If it's close to both of them, they call 'mine, mine, mine.' They did that throughout the whole day.

 The true heroes of this effort are the mine rescue teams who risk their own lives to save those of their fellow coal miners. At the darkest hour of this rescue effort, we prayed for 13 miracles. Despite our grief and despair at the loss of our 12 co-workers, we want to celebrate the one miracle that was delivered.
