 It's energy. It's not just gasoline. People are looking at their gas and electric bills. Talk about stunned silence.

 With the way energy costs are rising, people are a lot more concerned with what their bills are going to look like -- electric and gas.

 The price increases are at levels that are catastrophic for most people. Everybody you talk to is saying that they have to cut down on other expenses just to put gasoline in their car or to pay their utility bills. And I can't predict that prices are going to go down. I wish I could.

 Silence is not a thing we make; it is something into which we enter. It is always there. We talk about keeping silence. We keep only that which is precious. Silence is precious, for it is of God. In silence all God's acts are done; in silence alone can his voice be heard and his word spoken.

 Our country needs more oil refineries because the people who work for a living need gasoline to get to work. These are the people who earn paychecks and buy groceries and pay their bills, including their taxes. That means they use gasoline every day. They need it, and they need it at a price they can afford to pay.

 Will it make a major difference in the price of gasoline? Based on the numbers that I see, probably not, ... It'll help some, but we have significant refining capacity that is dysfunctional, either because they don't have electric energy or because they're flooded, or both.

 Though we had a good sales tax year, it's not enough to offset electric and fuel bills. We don't want to raise property taxes. We're looking at other growth to pay these bills.

 The problem comes in with the 40 percent increase in utility bills. These energy bills are tearing people apart, with the cold weather we've had.

 A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. There is a great deal of fear and uncertainty out there. On the one hand it's sad to see peoples' lives disrupted and destroyed. On the other hand, people are worrying about how they are going to pay their gasoline bills and their home heating bills this winter. It makes for a pretty bleak view of the future.

 It's good for women's basketball to have that many people come check out a game. We're excited, especially winning when the crowd is against you. It's even nicer that way. We look forward to hearing stunned silence.

 The thing that's really scary is now that we're out of the cold weather rule, a lot of the people we're seeing are coming in with average $600 gas or electric bills.

The silence when... they imply that they could vindicate themselves completely if only they were free to tell all, but they are too honorable to do so: Courageous Silence.
