Stan Kennedy a local gezegde

 Stan Kennedy, a local piano tuner and a killer guitarist, was asked to teach classes at the Excel Program, a music class at Emmanuel Christian School in Hartsville. He couldn't do it, but he recommended me, and I've really loved it. It's not exclusive to members of the church, but the church serves as the venue, and I have students from 9 years old to 64.

 Until our mission with the Christian Church is over, we must quote the Bible and use it to explain the Divine Principle. After we receive the inheritance of the Christian Church, we will be free to teach without the Bible. Now, however, our primary mission is to witness to the Christian Church.

 Here's about 30 signatures from a Sunday school class at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The outpouring of support has meant a lot.

 I call this my church house trilogy. Souls' Chapel really was music from the Mississippi Delta, which to me is a church within itself. The Delta is the church of American Roots music. The Badlands is a cathedral without a top on it. And the Ryman has been called the Mother Church of Country Music, but to me it's the Mother Church of American Music. If you can think it up, it's been done there. In my mind, this is kind of a spiritual odyssey as much as anything else, and I had the settings of three churches to make it in.

 I've always loved gospel, ... My mom was involved in church music. I sang a lot in church. It's an opportunity to learn music and sing uplifting music.

 Ours is a very eclectic offering. We're affiliated with the church but we're not just offering church music. Our philosophy is that we wanted to bring quality music to the entire valley and let everyone enjoy it since we have a fine venue.

 Music has been an important part of my life forever. I played piano since birth. I've been a church pianist for over 50 years, and played in piano bars from Boston to Bangkok.

 I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.

 We believe that the local church is the hope of the world, and we do this summit because encouraging and building up and challenging church leaders is one of the best ways we can help the local church be all it was meant to be.

 Church isn’t where you meet. Church isn’t a building. Church is what you do. Church is who you are. Church is the human outworking of the person of Jesus Christ. Let’s not go to Church, let’s be the Church.

 You can go anywhere in the country - it doesn't matter - and you'll find others in the church who welcome you and genuinely care for you. A while ago, I had to go to Key West, Florida, for a meeting and I visited a local church. Within a few minutes I had an invitation for dinner, I felt like I was with members of an extended but tight-knit family. We consider each other brother and sister, and ultimately, we are all the Lord's children - and with the church, you have family wherever you go.

 I remember that campaign. I was 14 years old, and I lived in Houston, Texas, and my pastor came back to our Baptist church and from the pulpit, he said: 'I have good news! President Kennedy told us that on public-policy issues, his church doesn't speak for him and he doesn't speak for his church. And that he's going to separate his Catholicism from his service if he's elected.' And people applauded all across the auditorium. They just thought it was a great thing.

 A lot of people up there will have lost everything, and be struggling to come back and, you know, this is a faith-based music. When they come in there, they talk about having church. So it's not a church -- but it's a place where you have church.

 The Church knew what the psalmist knew: Music praises God. Music is well or better able to praise him than the building of the church and all its decoration; it is the Church's greatest ornament.
