 As we continue to have development in that area, we are seeing an increase in traffic at that intersection, and a driveway that close to an intersection is nothing but a problem because drivers at both sides are trying to figure out where the other is going.  The straightened bridge effectively eliminates a high accident intersection, Route 1 and Monroe Avenue. Since January 2003, 57 collisions have occurred at this intersection.

 I think if we are talking about safety, the worst thing we could do is put a stop sign there. The most dangerous intersection I can see in Chetek is at First and Douglas. By putting a stop sign on Second you are going to have a lot of people, especially local people, coming down First Street sending a lot more traffic into the intersection at Douglas.

 We need to get that intersection so it can function like a normal intersection.

 One of the drivers told me about his situation. He stopped the bus with some difficulty and then it slid sideways, kitty-corner across the intersection, and had to be towed away from the curb.

 The conditions have changed since the city's original opposition. Development has occurred, and more traffic will be generated through that intersection.

 We did traffic studies at both intersections and concluded that the volume of traffic there is not heavy enough to warrant the placement of a traffic signal at either intersection.

 It encompasses the area from the rock cut to the Cherry Creek Road intersection. The project will involve the expansion of the existing bike path and will allow bicycles on both sides of the street.

 We don't have any plans for improvements to that area right now. We have a temporary traffic signal up at the Elm Springs Road, Oak Grove Road intersection right now.

 These gates open and close once every 15 to 30 minutes. This is a busy intersection with this high-speed train, but personally I've never had a problem and I cross it every day.

 The minute that you close one major intersection on the Peninsula, the whole South Bay area gets screwed up. All activities are going to be affected, no matter if we do it fast or slow.

 A four-way intersection is better than two T-intersections. It keeps the traffic moving.

 The traffic generated would almost double what's on Joyce now. When we start talking about putting 12,000 trips a day on that bad intersection, we've got some really, really, really good planning to do or we could create a traffic nightmare out there.
