 You can get one day of rain in the right spot that can cause flooding.

 If it's a quick, fast rain, we'll see localized flooding. There is no doubt about that.

 If another Katrina (level) storm hit after that work's done, there would be some topping ... but the flooding would be all manageable. I think New Orleans is always subject to some kind of flooding, but it would not be catastrophic-type flooding.

 The biggest threat of course is flash flooding. This is a very wet storm, it's going to drop a lot of rain.

 We've been advised that the rain could be intense for a brief period of time which could cause some localized flooding.

 We would have hurricane-force winds, we would have flooding, heavy rain and tornados as an offshoot.

 When the heavy rain comes to Los Angeles, we will watch carefully for widespread urban flooding.

 We're getting an early start on the rain-and-snow season, which is good as long as we don't get flooding.

 In the foothills, that's where the heaviest rain will be. Down here in the Valley we're not looking at any significant flooding to threaten homes.

 The water would rise in the road and along the ditch out front, not in our yards. And now we get flooding with as little as an inch of rain.
