 With the gusty winds, low humidity and all the hard freezes lately, it's created an abundant amount of dry, dead fuels. Our big concern is that (debris) fires are going to get away from people and the winds will pick them up and they'll race across the brush.

 He'd thrust his chin out and make gulping noises. Then he would take his fist and punch his chin. It was terrible to see my 6-year-old do that.

 It's hard to put into words what we experienced, but I'll try. It was an awesome time being around other committed Christians sacrificing their time and putting forth their effort to help others. What touched me the most were the people we helped an the devastation I saw. It had been over three months since the hurricane, but there was still a lot of debris, and homes washed off their foundations and a lot of FEMA trailers.

 With the bacteria levels of the water, we're really concerned for the safety of our volunteers. Right now, we will not go onto the beach and pick up any debris.
