I want every student gezegde

 I want every student present to know how big their position is and how important it can be to the student body, ... We want to encourage the notion of debate. It is so important that these senators take stands on issues - don't just vote yes because everyone else did. They were elected to their positions because they are leaders, not because they will vote yes on everything.

 This comes from my desire to understand why certain council members are abstaining on important issues. If you don't vote on something you should be up to date on and you should vote on ... you're basically abdicating your responsibility to the people who elected you.

 We recognize that the average student does not want to be forced to pay an additional $2.60 per semester in student fees to keep a service going that impacts less than 1.7 percent of the student body, or roughly 300 students. However, SGA also recognizes that however small this 1.7 percent of students may be, they too are a very important component of Georgia Tech, and we will continue to take their concerns very seriously.

 I encourage any student who has ever complained or been dissatisfied with this school to come out and run for one of these positions. The Student Government Association is here to better the lives of the students to this University, and I would like to see as many people try to be in this organization as possible.

 I've spoken to student leaders from both the African-American and Hispanic communities. I encourage them to not pass up on being in engaged in everything from drama to student government.

 Debate the nominee for five hours, debate the nominee for 50 hours. Vote for the nominee, vote against the nominee, ... But in the end, vote. Senators, colleagues, let's do our duty and vote.

 It's a wonderful opportunity for Mr. Jobson and myself to debate the important issues that are facing Stony Point. We have so many important issues. I don't believe that the present administration addressed them properly.

 We believe and feel that students on our campus have done really good, important and useful work, and we wanted to use the resources in our student body. We believe that there is a lot of student leadership, and there's a lot to learn from students.

 The pros may have figured out how to keep people from the floor, but they haven't figured out how to keep players from the stands.  The MVP program will raise awareness about issues that can adversely affect our student athletes. It is important for the SEC to be aware of the challenges facing our student-athletes so that we can assist them whenever possible.

 Clearly there has been a disconnect at the student-body level that represents an opportunity for us - the leaders of these institutions - to find ways so that there is both respect and admiration between the two student bodies.

 She has created the majority in many, many cases of important social issues. These 5-4 votes, she is the fifth vote. She is the power of the Court. Who she gets replaced by, similar swing vote or a strong conservative or a strong liberal can determine some very big social issues.

 The idea that this body of senators could spend half an hour talking about [a program renewal] might not be the best use of time, ... We'll try to handle more things administratively. One of the things that is important is to try and let the community of senators set the debate.

 The mentality in Haiti is to only vote for president, but the election for senators and deputies is important too.

 I think it will be a close one. It depends on who comes out to vote. I think it'll have a lot of support from the organizations in this building (Student Union) because it will allow this to be a student union.
