 When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. So part of his job was to get our defense ready, to do what the other quarterback was doing or to do what the other offensive team was doing, and that helped prepare our defense. In no way can I minimize that.

 I could play there, but it would be different because I've been playing shortstop for so long. I'm sure Chase could give me some tips and help me out. There are so many great players who could be a part of this team that guys may be asked to play out of position.

 Everything is going to come down to what defense plays the best, and which is going to make the least amount of mistakes. It's definitely going to be a defensive struggle.

 Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

And when you have to throw the football and the defensive line can just pin their ears back and go, it's not a fun day sometimes.
