 It's devastating to us. I've cried three or four times. Seeing kids without any food, elderly people dying and the government saying that help is on the way -- that's the most shocking part.

 Back when the program was created, elderly people were dying because they had nothing to eat and no health care. Surely in the wealthiest country on earth, we can find a way to get basic necessities like water to those in need, and get them to safety quickly, if there is really a will from our nation and government.

 Children and the elderly make over 50% of the people who receive food from food banks.

 Reading the people's lips: 'Where's the food? Where's water?' ... They were there for four days. I mean, drop something out of the sky. Fly helicopters over and drop something, whatever you have to do. That's what killed me, man. I'm cried out. I'm just cried out.

 If you want government food, go to the supermarket and buy government food. But for those who want to have a relationship with their food, and the accountability that inherently comes with voluntarily and informatively opting out of the supermarket to go ask around, smell around, sniff around, look around and opt out of the government food system, they ought to have that right.

 There were a lot of kids . . . I cried quite a few times, things went so well.

 On the way, we met many people who wanted to help, ... There was an elderly lady from New Jersey who just packed her station wagon with clothes and food trying to find out where she could go to help people.

 People like Terry, who was disabled, and the elderly, are being victimized, brutally victimized. They're dying and no one knows about it.

 It was heartbreaking to see people, pregnant women, elderly in wheelchairs, in those cramped, squalid conditions without food, water and toilets. We had no problems from the people at the convention center and that's more people than are in most Arkansas towns.

 Every year there are old people dying because they are too cold. The Chancellor has extended the winter fuel payments to the elderly until the end of the current parliament ... Some would say that transferring the money away from the oil companies was a fair trade-off.

 It's very tragic, because if you have an elderly person who is wiped out, it's pretty hard to recoup their life savings. A lot of times, elderly folks don't want to get their children in trouble. Or they fear they might end up in a nursing home.

 Here's another house that had a few kids, but an elderly retired couple bought it. These people had several kids ? they're in Texas now visiting those children.
